Three Ways to Book Cleaning for Your Unit
Apartment cleaning is not a separate checklist. It is our three main services, planned for a smaller footprint.
Recurring visits
Weekly, biweekly or monthly, with the same tasks every time. Best for keeping a busy household on top of the kitchen, bathroom and floors.
Recurring cleaningA deep cleaning
For a unit that has gone a long time without one, or before you start regular visits. Baseboards, doors, cabinet fronts and sills are washed.
Deep cleaningA move-out cleaning
At the end of a lease, between tenants or before a sale. It adds the inside of every kitchen and bathroom cabinet and drawer.
Move-out cleaning
Building logistics
Cleaning in a Building: What We Need to Know
A few practical details make the first visit smooth. Share them when you book and we keep them on file for every visit after.
Getting in
A door code, a key or a front desk that lets us up. Some of our clients share their door code so we can clean while they are at work.
Parking
Tell us where the team can park if it is not obvious, such as a visitor space, a garage level or the street.
Pets
Let us know who lives with you. One of our long-time apartment clients has a dog that stays home during cleanings, and the team works around it.
Your schedule
Home, at work or away on vacation: you do not need to be there, as long as we know how to get in.

A recurring visit
What a Regular Apartment Visit Covers
In a smaller space the kitchen and bathroom do most of the work and dust settles quickly, so a visit concentrates on them before moving through the rest of the unit:
- Kitchen and dining: counters wiped, countertop items dusted, appliance fronts and stainless steel cleaned, sink sanitized
- Bathroom: tub or shower scrubbed, mirror and counter cleaned, toilet sanitized
- Bedrooms and living space: beds made, fresh linen when it is left out, furniture, lamps and decor dusted, wood polished
- Throughout: cobwebs, ceiling fans, light fixtures, blinds, sills, doors and baseboards dusted, trash emptied and bags replaced
- Floors: carpets and rugs vacuumed, hard floors mopped
We treat every home as an extension of our own, and we clean it the way we'd want ours cleaned.
Who we clean for
For Renters, Condo Owners and Landlords
Renters
A visit every two weeks, the schedule most of our clients choose, keeps a busy household ahead of the cooking, the bathroom and the floors without giving up a weekend. At the end of the lease, a move-out cleaning gets the unit ready for the inspection.
Condo owners
A deep cleaning for a unit that has not had one in a long time, recurring visits once it is in shape, and a clean empty unit before it goes on the market. Our reviews include both a condo deep clean and a condo prepared for sale.
Landlords and property managers
A move-out cleaning between tenants, including the inside of every cabinet and drawer, so the next lease starts in a clean unit. Tell us the turnover dates and how the team gets in.

What Customers Say About Our Apartment Cleaning
★★★★★
Family Cleaners did an amazing job on my mom‘s condo which had not had a deep cleaning in a very long time. The attention given to all the wooden window blinds, shelving, knickknacks, Floor boards, ceiling fans, the list goes on and on. Communication 5 Star as well. Highly recommend!

I have been a loyal client of Family Cleaners for almost 2 years now. They provide an exceptional cleaning service. We are a family of 5 and have a 3bd, 2ba apartment. (We also have a dog who sometimes barks while they are cleaning due to us not being home, but they do a great job working around that.) The cleaners come out every two weeks and have access to our door codes. We have come to trust them with our space and belongings. They have also cleaned for us while away on vacation. Our kids also love coming home from school to their nice clean rooms! ✨✨

Apartment and Condo Cleaning FAQ
Answers for renters, owners and landlords. Have a question about your building? Call (860) 356-9448.
Do you clean apartments and condos the same way as houses?
Yes. The same checklist applies, so the result is the same, and a smaller unit simply takes less time. You choose between recurring visits, a deep cleaning and a move-in or move-out cleaning.
How often should I have my apartment cleaned?
Every two weeks is the schedule most of our clients settle on, and weekly or monthly visits are available too. After the first visit we suggest the frequency that keeps your unit where you want it.
Can you clean while I'm at work or away?
Yes. Tell us how to get into the building and the unit, such as a door code, a key or a front desk. Some of our clients share their door code, and we have cleaned for clients while they were on vacation.
Do you clean apartments at the end of a lease?
Yes. Book a move-out cleaning once everything is out. It includes the inside of kitchen and bathroom cabinets and drawers, which a regular visit does not.
I have a pet. Is that a problem?
No. Let us know about pets when you book so the team knows what to expect. A dog barking in the next room does not stop the cleaning.
How much does apartment cleaning cost?
The price depends on the size of the unit, the number of bathrooms, its condition, how often we visit and any add-ons. Quotes are free: call or text (860) 356-9448 or use the form on this page.
