The service
What Our House Cleaning Service Covers
Our house cleaning service is recurring maintenance for the rooms you use every day. On each visit the team cleans kitchen counters, appliance fronts and the sink, scrubs tubs and showers, sanitizes toilets, makes beds, dusts from ceiling fans down to baseboards, empties the trash, then vacuums and mops every floor. Your home stays at the standard you expect, week after week, without you spending your weekend on it.
It is not a restorative clean. Hand-washing baseboards, cabinet fronts, doors and window sills belongs to our deep cleaning service, the right first step when a home has not been professionally cleaned for a while. Inside the oven, inside the refrigerator and washing blinds can be added to any visit.
Family Cleaners is a family-owned residential cleaning company based at 15 N Main St in West Hartford, led by CEO Caroline Compiani. Our house cleaners take care of homes in West Hartford and towns across Connecticut, plus select towns in western Massachusetts.

Your schedule
Weekly, Biweekly or Monthly: Choosing Your Schedule
You do not have to decide alone. After the first visit, we recommend the frequency that will hold your home at its new standard.
Every week
Weekly
For busy households that want the house reset more often, so kitchens, bathrooms and floors never get the chance to build up.
- Most chosen
Every two weeks
Biweekly
Frequent enough to stop dust, soap scum and kitchen grease from building up, so every visit stays efficient. Most of our clients move to a biweekly schedule after their first clean.
Once a month
Monthly
For smaller homes with lighter use that need a regular, thorough reset.
You get a team that knows your home, remembers what matters to you, and keeps it that way week after week.
Your first visit
If your home has not been professionally cleaned for a while, we recommend starting with a deep cleaning, then switching to recurring visits. Our recurring plan is described in detail on the General Clean page.
Before we quote, we ask you to pick the cleaning assessment code that best matches your home today, from 1 to 10, so we can plan the right crew size and time.

What Customers Say About Our House Cleaning
★★★★★
The ladies did a deep clean while I was on vacation and I was able to come home to the cleanest my house has ever been! We will continue with our bi-weekly services to keep my house clean and organized. The price was extremely reasonable for my size house and I don’t think anything was left untouched.

Highly recommend!! We had our basement deep cleaned and the ladies did a phenomenal job. We had a light film of ash and dust on everythinggggg and they got things cleaned better than I could’ve expected. Will definitely be calling back for future home cleaning!

Excellent service provider. Easy to work with, they set up my cleaning in an efficient and expedited manner. The team of two came on time and worked for hours to get my deep clean just right. I was impressed with the hotel quality touches to the final reveal. Looking forward to my regular cleanings.

FAQ
House Cleaning FAQ
Straight answers to the questions we hear most about recurring cleaning. Something else on your mind? Call (860) 356-9448.
How often should I schedule house cleaning?
Most of our clients choose a biweekly visit after their first clean, because it prevents buildup and keeps each visit efficient. Weekly and monthly schedules are also available, and after your first visit we recommend the frequency that best holds your home at the standard you want.
What is the difference between house cleaning and deep cleaning?
House cleaning maintains a home that is already in good shape: surfaces, kitchen, bathrooms, dusting and floors. Deep cleaning restores a home with built-up dust and grime, adding hand-washed baseboards, doors, door frames, cabinet fronts and window sills. If your home has not been professionally cleaned recently, start with a deep cleaning and then switch to recurring visits.
How much does house cleaning cost?
Every quote is built for your home. The price depends on its size, its current condition, the level of cleaning you choose, any add-ons and how often we visit. Quotes are free: call or text (860) 356-9448, email info@familycleanersct.com or use the quote form on this page.
Do I need to be home while you clean?
No. Some clients are at work or away while we clean, and two of our Google reviews come from customers who returned from vacation to a clean house. Tell us how the team should get in when you book.
Do you bring your own cleaning products?
Yes. Our team brings its own products and equipment and is trained on them. If you prefer specific products, or someone in your home has allergies, we can use yours. We only ask that you keep paper towels, Swiffer duster refills and trash bags available for the team.
Are your house cleaners background-checked and insured?
Yes. Every team member goes through a background check before they start with us, and Family Cleaners is licensed, bonded and insured.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No contract is required. We only ask for seven days' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a cleaning. Payment is due on the day of service, and we accept all major credit cards, including American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa.
