After renovations and new builds
Post-Construction Cleaning in West Hartford & Surrounding Areas
The contractors are done, but fine dust covers every ledge, fixture, window and vent. We clear it surface by surface, inside windows, walls and vents included, so a remodeled room or a brand-new house is ready to live in.

The problem
Construction Dust Is Not Household Dust
Sanding, drywall and sawing leave a dust much finer than the everyday kind. It floats through the house and settles on window sills, door frames, light fixtures and baseboards, slips into cabinets, drawers and vents, and leaves a film on glass, tile and new appliances. Wipe it in the wrong order and it simply moves from one surface to the next.
A post-construction cleaning works from the top of each room down, so the dust cleared from high surfaces is not left behind on the ones below, and finishes with the floors. It is planned as its own service, separate from our deep cleaning packages, because the work depends on what was built or renovated.
When you request a quote, tell us which rooms were worked on, what was installed and when the trades will be finished. We use that to plan the time and the team the space needs.

The scope
What Our Post-Construction Cleaning Includes
Every project is different, so the final list is set with you. These are the parts of the house the dust always reaches.
Inside windows
The inside of the windows, glass, frames and sills, cleared of the dust the work left behind.
Walls
Dust wiped from the walls, so it does not drift back down onto clean floors and furniture.
Vents
Vent covers cleared of the dust that settles into them during the work.
Cabinets and drawers
Inside and out, in the rooms that were worked on, before you put anything away.
Kitchens, bathrooms and appliances
Counters, sinks, tubs, showers, fixtures and the fronts of new appliances, free of dust and film.
Light debris
Small leftover debris removed, within what is safe for our team and up to 25 lbs. Larger materials stay with the contractor.

Timing
When to Book Post-Construction Cleaning
Cleaning while sanding or drywall work is still going on means the dust comes straight back. Plan it for the gap between the last trade and the first piece of furniture.
First
The trades finish
Sanding, drywall and painting are done and the space is safe to work in.
Then
Big debris goes out
Leftover materials and heavy debris are cleared by the contractor.
Our part
We clean top to bottom
Windows, walls, vents, cabinets, fixtures and floors, room by room.
Last
Furniture comes back
Nothing new gets dusty while it waits. Moving in? Pair it with a move-in cleaning.
Construction dust gets everywhere, so we work through the house surface by surface until it feels like a home again instead of a job site.

What Customers Say After a Renovation or a Deep Clean
★★★★★
I was so happy with the job done at my condo yesterday. It was a move in, post construction cleaning. So it was pretty dirty, cabinets, appliances, bathrooms. All were so clean, even a shower floor that I thought I'd regret not changing out. I'd definitely hire again, and would highly recommend.

We had Family Cleaners Cleaning Service in for a deep cleaning of our new construction house. They did an amazing job. I thought some of our furniture was ruined from the move and now it looks brand new. My house is sparkling. I highly recommend them!

Hired them initially to do a deep clean on my house over a year ago and have since hired them to do a monthly cleaning of my home. They are always punctual, professional, and do a great job! Highly recommended!

Post-Construction Cleaning FAQ
For anyone planning the final clean after a renovation or a new build. Tell us your finish date: (860) 356-9448.
When should post-construction cleaning be scheduled?
Once the contractors have finished and the space is safe to enter, and ideally before furniture is moved back in. Tell us the date the trades expect to finish and we plan the cleaning around it.
Do you clean inside windows, walls and vents?
Yes. Our post-construction cleaning includes the inside of the windows, the walls and the vents, because construction dust settles on all three.
Do you remove leftover debris?
Light debris, yes: we remove what is safe for our team to handle, up to 25 lbs. Leftover building materials and heavier debris should be cleared by the contractor before we start. Tell us what will still be on site when you request your quote.
Is post-construction cleaning part of a deep cleaning?
No. Our deep cleaning packages are designed for lived-in homes and do not cover construction dust and debris. Post-construction cleaning is planned separately, based on the project.
Do you clean inside cabinets and appliances after a renovation?
Yes, in the rooms that were worked on. Tell us which rooms were renovated and what was installed, and we include them in the plan. One customer's review of a condo move-in after construction describes cabinets, appliances and bathrooms that all came out clean.
How is the price of post-construction cleaning set?
It depends on the size of the space, the type of work that was done, how much dust and residue is left and which rooms are included. Quotes are free: call or text (860) 356-9448 with your project details, or use the form below.
